The Bitaxe 601 Gamma is an open source Bitcoin mining device that uses the BM1370 chip from the Bitmain S21 Pro. It delivers up to 1.3 TH/s at less than 15 W/TH, making it an extremely energy efficient solution.

With the built-in controller, it works completely autonomously – no need for an additional computer. The device automatically establishes a wireless connection, which you simply set up via the web interface. Once configured, it automatically connects to your Wi-Fi network.

There is also an OLED display on the device that shows key information about the device’s status, its hash rats and its performance. The Bitaxe 601 Gamma is an excellent choice for home users and those who want to get acquainted with the mining world.

Bitaxe is designed as a standalone miner that works with all solo mining “pools”. Alternatively, you can link him to a regular pool where he will act as a worker and earn you a few Satoshi every day.

But have realistic expectations. The chance of Bitaxe finding the block on its own is extremely small – but not impossible. Many see it as a Bitcoin lottery, with a prize of 3.125 BTC given away every 10 minutes.
