The plate is designed for the secure storage of seed phrases. It is made of AISI 316L stainless steel and is more resistant to fire, flooding, and acids.

SIMPLE AND CLEAR

The steel plate comes with a paper template that simplifies data entry by limiting the view to only one column at a time. This makes entering the seed phrase much clearer.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The SOLIDHODL plate is engraved on both sides. The engraving is 0.1 mm deep and painted black for better readability.

Each side of the board has space for 12 words. Each word has a column, which is also numbered. Each column, in turn, has four smaller columns containing holes for punching. The letters A through Z are marked in rows on the page. Use the included hole punch to make holes and write one word per column.

To back up a BIP39 seed phrase, you only need to record the first four letters of each word in the seed phrase. The first four letters of every possible word are unique. To restore your wallet, you’ll also need to enter only the first four letters.

Using the included template, you can hide the other columns so that only the one in which you’re entering the word is visible. This way, you won’t be distracted by all the other rows and you’ll avoid mistakes.

Once you’ve written down your seed phrase, you can also write down the “NAME.” This is recommended when you’re using a backup for multiple wallets. Then store the sheets in a safe place, such as a safe.
